Hematology is the branch of medicine concerned with the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to the blood. Hematology includes the study of etiology of diseases, diagnosis of diseases and monitoring the treatment . In this department, we are testing parameters that affect the production of blood and its components, such as blood cells, hemoglobin, bone marrow, platelets, blood vessels, spleen, and the mechanism of coagulation. The laboratory work that goes into the study of blood is frequently performed by a medical technologist and pathologist. The Hematology laboratory performs routine Hematology testing coagulation, and various body fluid and analysis. The testing utilizes the latest technology to provide the most accurate result. Complete blood count (CBC) with differential counts is performed with Beckman Coulter DxH520 series of analyzers. The coagulation profile done with HUMAN CLOT Duo Plus.
